Donald Trump: We Are Working Intensively to End the Conflict in Ukraine

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his country is making intensive efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine.

Speaking at a joint session of Congress during his traditional “State of the Union” address, Trump touched on his administration’s foreign policy efforts.

Claiming that he has managed to stop eight wars so far, Trump said, “We are working very hard to end the ninth war between Russia and Ukraine, to stop this bloodshed and these massacres.”

The U.S. leader also stated that all American weapons supplied to Ukraine have been purchased through NATO.

“Everything we send to Ukraine goes through NATO, and they pay us in full,” he said.

‘Iran Has Not Made a Promise’

Trump noted that they have not yet received a commitment from Tehran that it will refrain from developing nuclear weapons.

“They want to make a deal, but we have not yet heard the magic words that they will never possess nuclear weapons,” he said.

While expressing his desire to reach a diplomatic agreement with Tehran, Trump also claimed that Iran has developed missiles capable of reaching Europe and is working on missiles that could reach the United States.

‘I Will Work for Peace, But…’

In his address to Congress, Trump pledged to work for peace wherever possible, while also vowing to confront any threats directed at the United States.

“As President, I will strive for peace wherever possible, but I will never hesitate to face threats against America when necessary,” he said.

The U.S. president added that he plans to strengthen security in the Western Hemisphere, focus on combating drug cartels and terrorism, and protect national interests from foreign interference.

‘Our Adversaries Fear Us’

Arguing that America’s enemies fear the United States, Trump said the country is once again respected around the world.

“Our adversaries are terrified. Our military and law enforcement are fully equipped, and America is respected again — perhaps more than ever before,” he stated.

Trump concluded his speech by saying, “Members of Congress and my fellow Americans, our country is back — bigger, better, richer, and stronger than ever.”
