EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas announced that work on the 20th sanctions package against Russia is planned to be completed in February.
Speaking at a press conference, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said that the European Union (EU) plans to finalize its work on the 20th sanctions package targeting Russia in February.
“We plan to complete the work on the 20th sanctions package next month,” Kallas said.
Kallas noted that preparations are ongoing to add a new package to the sanctions already adopted by the EU, but did not provide details regarding the content of the package.
The EU’s foreign policy chief also commented on relations between Europe and the United States. Kallas stated that relations between Europe and the U.S. are “not that good,” emphasizing that there are “clear points of disagreement” between the two sides.
