Pentagon Dismisses Two More Senior Generals

Following the removal of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, two more senior generals in the United States have reportedly been dismissed.

High-level changes within the Pentagon are continuing. According to defense officials, two additional senior generals have been removed from their posts after the dismissal of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

According to a report by The Washington Post, the dismissed officials are General David Hodne, head of the Training and Doctrine Command, and Major General William Green Jr., the Army’s Chief of Chaplains.

Earlier, CBS News reported that U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had requested Army Chief of Staff General Randy George to resign immediately and retire. The move was later confirmed by Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell.

Meanwhile, in December, The Washington Post reported that senior officials within the Department of Defense were evaluating a comprehensive restructuring plan for the military command structure. The plan includes options such as downgrading the status of certain key headquarters and redistributing authority among top generals.
