Putin Holds Phone Call with Brazilian President Lula da Silva

According to a statement from the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

It was reported that Putin and Lula da Silva discussed the situation in Venezuela, bilateral cooperation, and coordination within the framework of the United Nations and BRICS. The call was initiated by the Brazilian side.

The statement noted that the heads of state addressed issues on the international agenda, paying particular attention to the situation surrounding Venezuela. It was emphasized that the parties confirmed their shared approaches regarding the protection of Venezuela’s sovereignty and national interests.

The leaders also discussed bilateral cooperation in various fields and agreed to continue coordinating their efforts within the framework of the United Nations and BRICS in order to contribute to reducing tensions in Latin America and other regions of the world.
