Highlighting Russia’s self-sufficiency in the defense industry, President Vladimir Putin stated that the country is among the few nations capable of producing all the raw materials and components required for advanced weapons using its own resources.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is one of the few countries in the world capable of independently producing the raw materials and components necessary for the mass production of advanced weapons.
Speaking during a meeting with the permanent members of Russia’s Security Council, Putin underscored the country’s self-reliance in the defense sector.
Referring to Russia’s capabilities in both existing and next-generation military equipment, Putin said:
“Russia is one of the few countries in the world that independently produces the materials, components, and raw materials required for the mass production of advanced weapons, as well as for the modernization of existing weapons, military equipment, and specialized technical systems.”
During the meeting, Putin called on Security Council members to examine the issue in greater detail, emphasizing the importance of preserving and further developing Russia’s domestic production capabilities.
The participants also discussed measures aimed at maintaining and strengthening Russia’s vision of self-sufficiency in the military and technical sphere.
