Putin to Meet UAE President Nahyan Tomorrow

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to meet with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday, January 29.

According to a statement from the Kremlin press service, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks on Thursday, January 29, with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who will be paying an official visit to Russia.

The statement said:
“Russian President Vladimir Putin and United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who will be in Russia on an official visit, will hold a meeting on January 29, 2026.”

It was noted that the leaders will review the prospects for cooperation between Russia and the UAE. The statement added that “key areas of the multifaceted Russia–United Arab Emirates cooperation, the current situation in the Middle East, and other issues on the international agenda will be discussed.”

Last Sunday, Al Nahyan received Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Special Representative of the Russian President for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, in Abu Dhabi. The sides discussed bilateral cooperation and partnership, as well as opportunities for development in various fields, including the economy, investment, and development.
