U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke highly of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban during their meeting in Budapest.
Stressing the importance of the relationship between U.S. President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Orban, Rubio said, “Relations between our countries are entering a golden age. This is not only due to the alignment of our peoples’ views, but also because of the relationship you have established with the President of the United States.”
‘Hungary’s Success Aligns with Our National Interests’
Emphasizing that Trump wants Orban to succeed, Rubio underlined that Hungary’s success is also America’s success and stated:
“These relations are so important and central to our national interests in the years ahead that if you face financial difficulties, obstacles to growth, or threats to your country’s stability, I am confident that President Trump will take a great interest in the matter. Hungary’s success aligns with our national interests.”
