Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met in New Delhi, where the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting was being held.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in India’s capital, New Delhi. During the talks, the two sides discussed Iran’s nuclear program, recent developments in West Asia, and cooperation between the two countries.
According to a statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the parties reviewed the latest status of negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear file as well as regional developments.
Lavrov and Araghchi also discussed joint projects and areas of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow, particularly in the fields of energy and transportation.
