U.S. Reconnaissance Aircraft Detected Near Iran

A U.S. Navy reconnaissance aircraft has reportedly been spotted over the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman near Iran’s borders.

Flight tracking platform Flightradar24 reported that a U.S. Navy Boeing P-8A Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft took off from a base in Bahrain.

It was noted that the aircraft conducted surveillance flights over the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman and approached Iranian airspace.

Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. Navy force moving toward Iran was larger than the one operating near Venezuela. Trump added that Washington hoped to reach an agreement with Iran, but warned that if no agreement were reached, the United States would “see what happens.”

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran is ready to resume dialogue with Washington on nuclear issues, provided that such talks are based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.
