Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran is prepared if the United States chooses a military option.
Araghchi stated that there are actors trying to push the U.S. into a war with Tehran in line with Tel Aviv’s interests.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Araghchi said, “There are those who are trying to drag the United States into a war with Iran in order to advance Israel’s interests.”
The Iranian foreign minister also said that if the U.S. opts for a military scenario, Iran is ready, adding that Iran’s military capabilities have now developed significantly.
Araghchi added that Iran is exploring the possibility of talks with the U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, as well as other ideas proposed by Washington, but noted that Tehran doubts whether Washington is ready for constructive negotiations.
