Gaza Peace Council Expands: Bahrain and the UAE Join

It has been reported that the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have agreed to join the Gaza Peace Council established by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has accepted the invitation from the United States. The statement noted that the decision is linked to the importance attached to the implementation of Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza.

It was stated that the UAE is represented on one of the council’s subcommittees by Minister of State Reem Al Hashimy.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced that King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has accepted the invitation to join the Peace Council. With this decision, Bahrain has joined the list of countries that have responded positively to the invitation.
