Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that any possible U.S. military attack on Iran would be met with a “broad and regret-inducing” response.
Reacting strongly to claims that the United States is preparing for a military strike against Iran, Baghaei stated that Iran would respond to any form of attack with a comprehensive and deterrent retaliation.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Baghaei made the remarks during his weekly press briefing, emphasizing that Iran is confident in its military capabilities and in the experience it has gained from past conflicts.
“We Will Respond With Even Broader Measures to Any Attack”
“Iran relies on both its capacity and capabilities, as well as its past experiences, including the war in June. Today, we are in a stronger position. We will respond to any attack with even broader measures,” Baghaei said.
Stressing that the deployment of warships to the region would not weaken Iran’s determination to defend its sovereignty, Baghaei said Tehran’s deterrence remains intact.
He added that the current situation represents a continuation of the attacks that took place in June and that Iran is still facing a hybrid war.
“In recent months, we have been confronted with threats from the United States and the Zionist regime. Regional countries are aware that any security crisis will not target Iran alone,” Baghaei said, noting that a shared sense of security concern has emerged across the region.
