U.S. President Donald Trump said that another segment of the U.S. naval forces is currently moving toward Iran, expressing hope that Tehran will “make a deal.”
Trump reiterated his threats against Iran, stating that a large “fleet” is heading toward the country and that the Iranian government should yield to U.S. demands.
In his remarks, Trump said:
“By the way, there is another magnificent fleet heading toward Iran right now. We’ll see what happens. I hope they make a deal. I hope they make a deal. They should have made a deal the first time. Then they would have had a country.”
Trump also claimed that Iran’s nuclear capability was “destroyed” by strikes carried out in June on three facilities.
