Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to create a level of destruction in Lebanon similar to what has been seen in Gaza.
Sánchez made remarks regarding Israel’s policies toward Lebanon while addressing Spain’s lower house of parliament. He said that “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu aims to create a situation in Lebanon similar to the destruction witnessed in the Gaza Strip.”
In his speech to lawmakers, where he outlined his government’s stance against U.S. and Israeli war policies toward Iran, Sánchez added: “Netanyahu wants to inflict the same level of damage and destruction in Lebanon as in Gaza.”
Meanwhile, Sánchez also touched on the leadership change in Iran, claiming that the country’s new supreme leader follows a harsher line compared to his predecessor. The Spanish Prime Minister stated, “Mojtaba Khamenei is as authoritarian as his father, and even a more bloodthirsty tyrant.”
