U.S. Vice President J. D. Vance announced that Washington is ready to “extend a hand” if Iran engages in negotiations in good faith. Following the ceasefire announced by Donald Trump, the parties are expected to meet in Islamabad, while Iran has claimed the ceasefire was violated and the U.S. stated that Lebanon is not included in the agreement.
Speaking to reporters, Vice President Vance emphasized that the United States remains open to a diplomatic solution with Iran. He noted that Washington is prepared to respond positively if Tehran approaches negotiations sincerely.
“As the President has also stated, if the Iranians are willing to negotiate in good faith, then we are certainly ready to extend a hand.”
