Kremlin: We Respect the UAE’s Decision to Withdraw from OPEC

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said they respect the United Arab Emirates’ decision to withdraw from OPEC and OPEC+, expressing hope that dialogue will continue.

Speaking at today’s press briefing, Peskov made statements on international developments.

Regarding the UAE’s decision to leave OPEC and OPEC+, Peskov said: “This is a sovereign decision of the United Arab Emirates. We respect it.”

The Kremlin spokesperson also welcomed the UAE’s statements indicating that it will continue to take a responsible position in energy markets and maintain coordination on a bilateral basis, and noted that Russia has no intention of leaving OPEC+.
