Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that European countries are trying to revive Nazism by inciting their own populations against Russia.
During interdelegation talks with his Kazakh counterpart Yermeк Koşerbayev, Lavrov said that Europe is persistently making efforts to revive Nazism in new forms.
The Russian diplomat said: “Under the current conditions, there is no doubt that the memory of the Great Patriotic War has not only historical significance, but also practical importance, given the insistence of certain European countries on reviving Nazism in new forms.”
Lavrov emphasized that one of the most important dimensions of relations between Russia and Kazakhstan is the memory of the Great Patriotic War, noting that the two countries always celebrate the anniversary of the Great Victory together and organize special events in both countries.
Lavrov is on a two-day official visit to Kazakhstan. His program also includes a meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
