Trump Thanks Putin and Xi Over Iran: ‘Netanyahu Is a Difficult Man’

U.S. President Trump praised Russian President Putin and Chinese President Xi for their contributions to easing tensions between Washington and Tehran. Trump also sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, accusing him of trying to sabotage the process.

Speaking to the American press, U.S. President Donald Trump made striking remarks regarding the resolution of the Iran crisis. Trump emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping played important roles in successfully managing the diplomatic process that resonated globally.

Trump commended the two global leaders for their constructive and facilitating diplomatic support in resolving the crisis. In contrast, he directed harsh criticism at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The U.S. leader stated that Netanyahu’s escalating military attacks on Lebanon nearly brought the final agreement with Iran to the point of collapse.

Using blunt language about the Israeli prime minister, Trump said, “He is a very difficult man.”

Trump argued that Netanyahu should be grateful to the United States for the agreement reached with Iran and issued a striking warning: “Because if Iran had possessed nuclear weapons, Israel would have been wiped off the map within two hours.”
