Israel has objected to the United States’ 15-point plan aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza, arguing that it does not sufficiently address its demands for Hamas to be disarmed and for the Gaza Strip to be fully demilitarized.
According to a statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, Israel has formally raised objections to the terms of the U.S.-proposed 15-point plan intended to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated:
“Israel demands the complete disarmament of Hamas, the removal of all weapons from Gaza, and the full demilitarization of the Gaza Strip as prerequisites for any process. The 15-point document currently under discussion does not adequately address these demands, and Israel has conveyed its objections to Ambassador Tony Blair.”
The statement also emphasized that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will not withdraw from the Yellow Line in Gaza until Hamas has been fully disarmed and the Gaza Strip has been completely demilitarized.
