Israel’s Shin Bet internal security service confirmed the evacuation, while Israeli media reported that Yair Netanyahu left the US without even collecting his personal belongings.
A security alert was issued regarding Yair Netanyahu, the 35-year-old son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Yair Netanyahu, who has lived in the US state of Florida for years, reportedly left the country and returned to Israel due to a threat against him.
In a statement issued by Israel’s Shin Bet internal security service, officials said there was a “credible threat” against Yair Netanyahu. The statement said that following security assessments, a decision was made to urgently evacuate Yair Netanyahu and his accompanying security team and return them to Israel.
Shin Bet did not provide any details regarding the source of the threat.
He reportedly left the US without even collecting his belongings

Alleged Iranian assassination plot
Yair Netanyahu’s evacuation came after an assassination-related claim emerged last week.
Newsmax reported that Yair Netanyahu was allegedly assessed to have been the target of a potential assassination attempt by Iran at his home in Florida last December.
According to the report, Israeli intelligence shared the suspicion with US intelligence agencies.
Netanyahu: “Iran targeted one of my sons”
Benjamin Netanyahu also claimed in an interview with Israel-based Channel 14 that Iran had targeted one of his sons.
Netanyahu said, “Iran targeted one of my sons. Iran tried to kill him, tried to kill one of my sons.”
Yair Netanyahu’s return to Israel was reportedly carried out as part of a security decision following the assessment of a threat against him.
