The residence of IKRG President Nechirvan Barzani in Duhok was targeted by several drones; no casualties were reported in the attack.
A drone strike was carried out against the home of the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (IKRG), Nechirvan Barzani, in Duhok.
It was reported that Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani has instructed the formation of a joint security and technical team to investigate the incident. The attack came after the Kurdistan Region had been targeted by more than six drone attacks on Saturday.
As tensions stemming from the Iran–Israel–US conflict have persisted in the region for weeks, Kurdish leaders have emphasized that they are not a party to the conflict and will not allow their territory to be used for launching attacks.
