Trump Insults NATO Allies: “Cowards, We Will Not Forget This”

U.S. President Donald Trump accused NATO allies of “cowardice” for failing to provide sufficient support in the war against Iran. While arguing that the alliance would be ineffective without the United States, Trump also directed harsh criticism at Europe over the Strait of Hormuz crisis and rising oil prices.

U.S. President Donald Trump made strong remarks targeting NATO countries that did not support U.S.-Israel operations. Claiming that allies had not contributed enough to the military process against Iran, Trump argued that the alliance had weakened.

In a post on social media, Trump stated, “Without the United States, NATO is a paper tiger,” emphasizing that the alliance’s military strength largely depends on Washington.

“Cowards, We Will Remember This”

Escalating his criticism, Trump directly referred to NATO countries as “cowards.” In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, he claimed that allies were avoiding participation in the effort to counter Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

In his message, the U.S. President said:
“Without the United States, NATO is a paper tiger! They did not want to join the fight to stop a nuclear-armed Iran.”

Criticism Over the Strait of Hormuz and Oil

Trump also drew attention to the Strait of Hormuz crisis in his remarks. He argued that NATO countries complain about rising oil prices but fail to contribute militarily to resolve the situation.

The U.S. President claimed that reopening the strait would be “a simple military maneuver” and asserted that allies were unwilling to take part even in a low-risk operation.
