Iranian media: Iran has sent its final proposal to the U.S.

Iranian media reported that the country has sent its “final proposal for negotiations with the United States” to Pakistani mediators. The proposal is expected to be conveyed to Washington, and today is seen as critical for the course of the conflict.

The report was published by Iran’s official news agency, IRNA, which stated that Iran’s final proposal had been delivered to the United States through Pakistani intermediaries.

No details were shared regarding the content of the proposal. Iran had previously sent its conditions for ending the war to Pakistan last week, which is acting as a mediator, to be forwarded to the U.S.

According to Iranian press reports, Tehran is ready to negotiate on the permanent end of the war and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, but has proposed that its nuclear activities be addressed after a lasting ceasefire. It was reported that Trump did not accept this proposal.

According to sources familiar with the mediation process who spoke to the American press, the U.S. had been waiting for Iran’s revised proposal, expected by Friday, while all eyes in Washington were on Tehran. Iran, for its part, says Trump is trying to “force it to surrender.” The period until Saturday is seen as “critical” for achieving a ceasefire.
