Donald Trump: We Are in a ‘Mini War’ with Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States is in a “mini war” with Iran. Comparing it to wars the U.S. has fought in countries like Vietnam and Iraq, Trump stated that operations against Iran are being carried out much more quickly, adding, “Things are going well right now.”

Trump described the ongoing tensions with Iran as a “mini war,” arguing that the process will not last long and that U.S. military operations are progressing successfully.

Speaking at a small business event held at the White House, Trump claimed that the attacks on Iran were “the right move.” He argued that previous U.S. administrations had not taken such a step and emphasized that he was the one who made this decision.

The ‘Mini War’ Description

Trump said, “I describe the situation we are currently in as a mini war,” noting that the U.S. has been in conflict with Iran for about six weeks. He asserted that the process would not be prolonged and claimed that, compared to long wars in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, the U.S. has acted “very quickly” in Iran.

The U.S. President also commented on Iran’s military capacity, saying, “Things are going very well right now. They have no navy, no air force, no anti-aircraft weapons, no radar systems, and no leadership.”

‘Prices Will Drop Quickly When the War Ends’

Trump emphasized that the U.S. would not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons and argued that military operations were necessary for this reason. He also claimed that energy prices in the United States would “drop rapidly once the war ends.”

“It was worth it to get rid of people who could destroy countries at the push of a single button with nuclear weapons,” Trump said, defending the decisions taken.

Trump’s remark, “After I leave office in 8–9 years, I will also be able to benefit from these advantages,” drew laughter from those attending the event.
