Trump to Netanyahu on Gaza: “All Jews Are Tired of You”

U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly used harsh language during a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just days before the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. According to a newly published book, Trump pressured Netanyahu not to back away from the deal, telling him, “All Jews are tired of you.”

It is alleged that Trump made the remarks during a phone conversation with Netanyahu prior to the announcement of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

According to reports by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronot, the details of the tense exchange are revealed in the book “Regime Change: The Inside Story of Donald Trump’s Imperial Presidency” by American journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan.

According to the book, Trump shouted at Netanyahu during discussions over the Gaza ceasefire plan, saying, “All Jews are tired of you,” and insisted that Israel accept the 20-point proposal that had been put forward.

The book also claims that a serious crisis of confidence emerged between Washington and Tel Aviv before the ceasefire was announced.

“Israel’s Doha Strike Triggered a Crisis in the White House”

According to the book, one day after Trump’s Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner discussed the Gaza plan with then-Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, the Israeli military launched a strike on Doha, the capital of Qatar.

Following the incident, Kushner and Witkoff reportedly expressed their frustration to White House officials, saying, “Dermer lied to us.”

The book states that Kushner viewed the fallout from the Doha strike as an opportunity to pressure Netanyahu toward compromise, accelerating efforts to finalize the ceasefire plan.

It also claims that during meetings held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Kushner and Witkoff met with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and that some revisions to the draft agreement were made directly by the Qatari premier.

Trump to Netanyahu: “You Cannot Back Out of This Deal”

According to the book, White House officials feared that Netanyahu might call Trump and undermine the ceasefire process. As a result, Kushner and Witkoff were included in the crucial phone call between the two leaders.

During the conversation, Trump reportedly told Netanyahu:

“You cannot back out of this deal. I am the best friend Israel has ever had. Everyone hates you, but I stood by you. This is a huge deal for Israel.”

The book states that Netanyahu ultimately had no choice but to accept the agreement under intense pressure. It further notes that two days after the heated phone call, the two leaders appeared together at a joint press conference and publicly projected unity.

The Gaza ceasefire agreement entered into force on October 10, 2025. The first phase of the deal included a prisoner exchange, increased humanitarian aid deliveries, and a partial withdrawal of Israeli forces from certain areas.
