Foreign Minister Fidan Meets U.S. Secretary of State Rubio

As part of the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Ankara.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

According to diplomatic sources, Fidan and Rubio met on the sidelines of the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government.

Meeting with Senators Held Previously

On the previous day, Fidan delivered a speech at an event titled “European Security After the Ankara Summit: Strengthening Cooperation Among NATO Allies Across Europe,” organized by the Center for Strategic Research (SAM) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chatham House.

Fidan also received in Ankara U.S. Senate NATO Observer Group Co-Chair and senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Jeanne Shaheen, Senators Christopher Coons, Dick Durbin, and Mike Rounds, as well as U.S. House Representative Mike Turner.
