Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented on the future of the S-400 air defense missile systems currently in Türkiye’s inventory.
Peskov stated that Russia and Türkiye have held discussions regarding the possible resale of the S-400 air defense systems owned by Ankara.
Responding to reports and speculation about the potential sale or transfer of the Russian-made S-400 systems to a third party, Peskov described the issue as “an extremely sensitive matter.”
The Kremlin spokesperson noted that diplomatic channels between the two countries remain open and emphasized that discussions with Türkiye on the matter are expected to continue in the future.
Russia places significant importance on the confidentiality of technical data and technology security in all S-400 export agreements. In previous statements, Moscow stressed that its military-technical cooperation with Türkiye includes legal obligations preventing the sharing of sensitive information with third parties, while also expressing full confidence in the Turkish side’s commitment to honoring those obligations.
