Netanyahu: Preserving Israel’s Air Superiority Is the Cornerstone of Our National Security Doctrine; We Are Prepared for Every Scenario
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that maintaining Israel’s military air superiority in the region remains one of the country’s top priorities, adding that Israel is prepared for every possible scenario amid rapidly changing geopolitical dynamics.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony for the Israeli military, Netanyahu argued that the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East is changing rapidly.

During his speech, Netanyahu emphasized the importance of maintaining Israel’s military air superiority and commented on tensions involving Lebanon and Iran.

“Preserving Israel’s air superiority is the cornerstone of our national security doctrine.”

“The war is not over yet. In addition to the old challenges, new ones continue to emerge. Old alliances are collapsing, and new ones are taking shape. We are prepared for every scenario. We know that we must always remain stronger than our enemies.”

Netanyahu’s remarks come shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump signaled that Türkiye could potentially rejoin the F-35 fighter jet program. Following those comments, Netanyahu and several Israeli officials publicly voiced their opposition, giving interviews to U.S. media before and during the NATO Summit in Ankara and urging Washington not to allow Türkiye to regain access to the F-35 program.
