The ceasefire process between Israel and Lebanon

On March 2, the Israeli army launched intense airstrikes against Lebanon, targeting many areas in the south of the country.

The Lebanese government announced that the number of people displaced due to the attacks had exceeded 1,162,000.

U.S. President Trump had also announced that the 10-day temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into effect on April 17, had been extended by an additional three weeks. Trump stated that he wanted to host Aoun and Netanyahu at the White House during this period, noting that the meeting could be of “historic” significance.
