Netanyahu’s Health Revealed: ‘Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, Disclosure Delayed Due to Iran’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was reportedly diagnosed with prostate cancer at the end of 2024. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office stated that the information was disclosed with a delay “to prevent the Iranian regime from spreading black propaganda against Israel.”

It has emerged that Netanyahu was diagnosed with prostate cancer in late 2024.

In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, details were provided regarding his health condition.

The statement noted that the cancer was detected during routine check-ups following a prostate operation he underwent about a year and a half ago. It added that after the early detection of “a small lesion that had not metastasized,” Netanyahu underwent a successful course of treatment and has recovered.

It was also reported that the lesion in Netanyahu’s body measured 0.9 millimeters in diameter.

The statement further said that Netanyahu had requested the delayed disclosure of the health report—published today—which included details of his cancer diagnosis, in order to avoid its release during “the most intense period of the war (referring to the Gaza war)” and to prevent the Iranian regime from using it for further propaganda against Israel.

What was previously announced?

In earlier public statements, it had been reported that Netanyahu underwent prostate surgery in December 2024 due to a urinary tract infection.

Netanyahu (76), the longest-serving prime minister in Israel’s history, has faced a number of health issues in recent years due to his advanced age.
