Russian leader Putin stated that approaches and rules in international relations are losing their influence.
Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed participants of the “Open Dialogue” Forum via a video message.
Putin said, “Events in recent years show that all elements of global growth—from the economy and finance to technology and demographics—are undergoing irreversible change.”
The Russian leader noted that approaches and rules in international relations have lost their effectiveness due to the actions of Western countries, adding:
“Western countries are losing their dominance and are being replaced by new centers of growth, namely the countries of the Global South.”
Emphasizing that a multipolar architecture of global development is currently taking shape, Putin continued:
“Countries are playing a vital role in this process by defending their sovereignty in key areas. At the same time, no country can develop alone at the expense or to the detriment of others. The global development model can only be sustainable and fair if it is based on the principles of equality and mutual respect and takes into account the interests of all countries.”
