Strong warning from Iran to Trump: ‘Restarting the war would be more devastating for the U.S.’

During his meeting with Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that if U.S. President Donald Trump were to restart the war, Washington would face consequences far heavier than on the first day of the conflict.

Speaking during talks held in Tehran, Ghalibaf made striking remarks regarding the United States and developments in the region.

According to Iranian state television, Ghalibaf said Iran would never back down from defending its rights and harshly criticized the United States.

“We will never compromise on the rights of our nation against an unreliable party like the United States,” he said.

“Starting a new war would be more destructive for the U.S.”

Ghalibaf stated that the Iranian Armed Forces had reorganized during the ceasefire process and also issued a warning regarding Trump.

“If Trump restarts the war, it will be far more crushing and painful for the United States than it was on the first day of the war,” he said.

Ghalibaf also claimed that the United States had previously launched attacks on Iran while negotiations were still ongoing, accusing Washington of violating the ceasefire.

The Iranian official argued that despite the ceasefire achieved through Pakistan’s mediation, the United States continued to impose a naval blockade and is now attempting to change the situation.

Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir, meanwhile, conveyed his good wishes to the Iranian people during the meeting and emphasized the importance of stability in the region.
